About Maram Host – Iraqi & Arab Hosting Since 1999

Before anything else, Al-Huda Centre was working in secret from 1999: printing and distributing books and publications at a time when that work was forbidden. No sign, no address — just quiet work carried at its owners' own risk.

The first design work came in 2000 with HTML pages: CD interfaces were built in HTML, paired with an Autorun file that launched the disc and opened its contents automatically. That is where the team learned its first web alphabet — before the internet itself arrived.

Founder Lway Hassan Al-Thabhawee acquired the first dial-up internet modem over a telephone line, and the internet journey started right there. The office kept working in secret, moving its machines and printers from place to place out of fear of those years.

On the first day of the change, 9 April 2003, the office stepped out of the shadows with a real address in Kufa, opposite Kufa Municipality. Everything was ready from day one: the know-how, the equipment and the people — years of silent work turned into an immediate start.

Al-Huda became one of the very first satellite (VSAT) internet offices in Iraq, running the first local server that distributed software and online games to its 200 subscribers — a remarkable number for that era.

In 2005 the team started offering website design and development under the name «Maram», becoming one of the earliest Iraqi specialists in the field — long before the local market knew such services.

In 2013 Maram moved from relying on third-party providers to owning its own dedicated hardware inside data centres in the United Kingdom — a turning point that scaled the business up and raised service quality, speed and stability.

The company was formally registered on 07-01-2014 under certificate no. 85554 and tax number 900605376, giving its long journey a full legal framework.

Maram today runs its own servers and colocation in three separate locations across the United Kingdom, alongside technology partnerships — most notably a cPanel partnership — serving companies, TV channels, news agencies, universities, government portals and banks, with over 20 years of continuous experience.
